Hijackers kidnap 14 explorers in Enugu
ENUGU — Hijackers have strengthened their dangerous activities at the famous Enugu-Ugwuogo-Creations Nsukka Street in Enugu State with the kidnapping of 14 people, Friday night, on the bustling street.
The casualties were supposed to go in a completely stacked transport to Obollo-Afor from Enugu late night, when the crooks struck.
The inhabitants of the transport, including the driver, were said to have been captured by the hooligans while two fortunate women, who concealed under the vehicle, got away.
A driver, who handles the course, yet argued obscurity, affirmed that the two women concealed under the transport while different travelers were walked into the shrub by the shooters.
This came as police sources in Enugu said agents were putting forth unhinged attempts to gather together a few famous hoodlums thought to have attacked Enugu from an adjoining state and selected both a few neighborhood crooks and herders to execute the demonstration.
Police endeavors supposedly paid off, last week, as north of 28 thought hoodlums, principally hijackers, were killed during a day break activity and risky weapons, including AK-47 rifles involved by the crooks in threatening the state were recuperated.
